The sentence is not the same as the conjunction and. Subjects that are connected by a plural abrament and that always accept a plural text. On the other hand, sentences are related to the verb, as well as in addition or at the same time with the verb. If the subject is singular, the verb must remain singular. The person of the subject can be the first, the second and the third. The verb changes according to the number and person of the subject.
